Yesterday we had a great evening out with Beachwood and their fireworks on the Toms River. Along with the municipality and our official music simulcast, the program lasted over half an hour. It was a different story elsewhere last night though...

San Diego's "Big Bay Boom" celebration was supposed to last around 20 minutes...the whole thing instead went off in about 20 seconds.

There was an unspecified technical issue that caused the inferno. According to our colleagues at TheFW, the shows producers issued the following statement:

“[We] will be working throughout the night to determine what technical problem caused the entire show to be launched in about 15 seconds. We apologize for the brevity of the show and the technical difficulties,”

Oh, and by the way, of course we have a Jersey connection...the producers of the display? Millington, NJ based Garden State Fireworks (who have also produced Red Bank's fantastic "Kaboom!" Independence Day display as well)
