The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is keeping its eye on several offshore algae blooms. According to the Asbury Park Press, the NJDEP tested discolored water near Seaside and the Manasquan inlet. They're also keeping track of algae spotted in beach waters near Asbury Park, Avon and Bradley Beach. Officials say both types of algae are nontoxic to humans.
