Air Force Conducting Explosive Training at NJ Military Base Today

Some Shore and south Jersey residents will hear shaking, rattling all day today due to military training.

Explosive training for the members of the 87th Civil Engineer Squadron is set for Sept. 27 at the joint base ranges.

Training is scheduled to occur between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

Residents in the area may experience more noise than usual and possible ground shaking.

If weather conditions are overcast, the noise may travel farther.

The base works hard to minimize the impact of training on its neighboring communities.
