Acropolis Seeks Smaller Government In Brick

Saying that he heard voters loud and clear, Brick Township Mayor Steve Acropolis embarks on a mission of smaller government.

He’s ordered his administration to create a budget that rolls back this year’s 24-percent tax increase yet stays within the state-mandated two-percent cap in each of the next two years.

Acropolis says he will serve as mayor for one dollar and will propose that all township elected officials undergo a 50-percent wage cut and give up health benefits.
