Accident causes power outage in Brick Township

As many as 1,500 JCP&L customers in Brick Township are without power this morning, due to a motor vehicle accident, according to the utility's website.

JCP&L crews are working to restore electricity. Power is expected to return by 7 a.m., according to the utility.

Details of the accident on Cherry Quay Road are unknown at this time. There is a closure in place.
