A Suspect is Arrested in a Fatal Hit and Run in Howell

Another male pedestrian loses his life in Howell Wednesday after being struck by a driver who fled the scene on foot. Township police said the incident occurred on Church road, between Kent and Tioga just after 3 pm.

However, witnesses were able to help police locate the suspect after seeing him run into the Archangel Michael Coptic Church located near Church and Kent. Police set up a perimeter around the area and arrested the driver.

Church Road was closed for several hours while police and county officials processed the crime scene. Police say they'll release more information at a later time.
