Jersey Shore United in Toms River has been helping more than 400 Superstorm Sandy victims, but now the faith-based, nonprofit organization needs some assistance itself.

The group operates from the Church of Grace and Peace on Old Freehold Road and receives monthly donations from eight Home Depots from Long Branch to Manahawkin.

Administrator Barry Moll says because the supplies go directly to homeowners, Home Depot is giving Jersey Shore United additional supplies. He says that has created a void with an enormous amount of free building supplies on a monthly basis. Moll says the challenge now is finding a place to temporarily stage and warehouse the donations.

Jersey Shore United helps Sandy victims with everything from rebuilding supplies and appliances to furniture and bedding. The group also offers a Construction Assistance Program that helps residents finish projects they can't afford.

Anyone who can help the organization with its storage issue and those seeking assistance can go to jerseyshoreunited.org or send an email to bmolljsu@gmail.com.
