Take a look at that photo, do you see anything amiss? It's one of my biggest common courtesy pet peeves.

A friend of mine snapped the photo, here's why:

My friend drives a car that requires diesel fuel. Most gas stations only have one or two diesel pumps.

The customer who was getting their truck filled up decided that it was more important to shop inside rather than moving their vehicle when they were finished getting gassed up, so someone else could get to the diesel pump.

I've been pretty vocal about the fact that I wish we at least had the option to pump our own gas here in The Garden State. But I will admit, this is something that while it does happen in NJ, you don't see it as much as in other states.

And it is quite a bit more inconsiderate in other states.

While it's frowned upon to leave your car unattended while an employee pumps your gas, I do see people go inside the convenience store while their car is filling, and lingering inside after its finished.

But in other states, most of the time you have to stay with your car while you fill up. Meaning people will fill up, finish filling up, and not bother to move their vehicles out of the way for others before going inside.
