Suspect Captured in Fatal Lakewood Hit-and-Run

A 25-year-old driver with a Lakehurst mailing address is in custody in connection with Wednesday night's hit-and-run that left a 78-hear-old woman dead.

Lakewood Police say that Barry A. Hill, Jr., faces multiple counts led by leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a death.

Catherine Linderoth was found in serious condition on Portsmouth Drive in Original Leisure Village when first responders arrived and began CPR while she was  transported to Kimball Medical Center. She was pronounced dead  enroute to the hospital.

Hill is to be lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River pending a first court appearance.
