This is one of those days where I really have nothing to say.  Those who know me would find that hard to believe but frankly I’m like a gas tank on empty.

I’m not sure why but maybe it’s the result of a chronic cough I’ve had for the past two months which at times makes talking a challenge. Not good for a guy on the radio.   I finally went to see Dr. Robert Scott on Monday and for starters we’re going to treat it as a result of postnasal drip and go with medications commonly used to treat allergies.  Hopefully over the next couple of weeks I’ll get better and if not we’ll take a different approach to an annoying problem.

So maybe that’s why I have nothing to offer today although that’s more an excuse than reason.  Maybe it’s because the prospects of warm weather down the road have not yet invigorated my bones to the point where I can put winter in the rear view mirror.  A couple of weeks ago we had back-to-back 70 plus degree days and I found an extra bounce in my step. Lately though I’m back to shuffling my feet.

They are talking about temperatures in the 40s early next week which won’t make me feel any better but in truth we know sunshine and warmth is right around the corner even if it takes us a bit more time to get to that corner.

Of course like many of you my lethargy could be due to the state of affairs in the world and our country which right now is a downer.  From the Presidential primary campaign to what happened in Brussels last week and even scary moments in Washington DC on Monday it seems like we’re constantly dealing with negatives.

Throw in rising gasoline prices which will likely reach $2.00 a gallon real soon and good news continues to be hard to find.

Well there is some relief.  I’m a Mets fan and we’re coming off an amazing year and Sunday night open the new season against the Royals in a World Series rematch.  Oh wait. Ace pitcher Matt Harvey might miss his scheduled start because of a non-baseball related medical issue.  As a glass-is-half-empty Mets fan I’m expecting the worst but maybe he just has postnasal drip.
