Tomorrow looks like a great day to walk the boardwalk and if you’re a Rutgers alumnus or supporter you might want to join up with a contingent of your fellow Scarlet Knights who will stroll the boards in Lavallette, Ortley Beach, Seaside Park and Seaside Heights. It’s all part of an initiative this summer in which Rutgers representatives, including student-athletes walk every boardwalk in New Jersey to promote the school and athletic program.

Belmar Voters Reject Boardwalk Pavilion Bond Referendum

Belmar residents strike down a referendum asking them to borrow $7 million dollars to build two controversial boardwalk pavilions.

According to unofficial numbers, voters rejected the ballot question 1,041 to 756 Tuesday night during a special election held at the borough hall.
