Investigators in the office of acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni hold to their contention that the blaze appears not to have been an accident.

Lyndon "Shane" Beharry, 35, Amanda Morris, 29, and their children Brendan Beharry, 7, and Brian Beharry, 4, survived the fire but died later at Monmouth Medical Center in the city, investigators said.

Beharry spent 16 years in the Long Branch Public Works Department.

Long Branch firefighters responded at 11:48 PM to multiple 911 calls reporting the flames at 245 Joline Avenue. Firefighters from West Long Branch, Sea Bright, Oakhurst, Oceanport and Eatontown were called in for support.

After quickly squelching the blaze, firefighters found all four in a second-floor bedroom, authorities said.

Investigators seek information that can help inform their findings. Monmouth Detective Pamela Ricciardi can be reached at 1-800-533-7443. Long Branch Police Detective Rich O'Brien can be reached at 732-222-1000.
