Plane Quarantined At Joint Base

A military cargo plane from Afghanistan has been quarantined at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst after an invasive insect was discovered. 

Homeland Security officials in Philadelphia say a destructive moth species hitched a ride to the U.S. aboard the plane and was found among equipment.

Agriculture specialists say the noctuid moths are severe pests to fruit and vegetable crops as well as ornamental plant material.
