A verbal family argument looks to have gone unresolved Tuesday night after Manchester Township police say an 85-year old resident allegedly stabbed his 58-year old son in the stomach with a knife Wednesday morning.

The son was able to disarm his father and get away before police arrived at the Robin Street home around 6 am.

Victor Brescia was placed under arrest and charged.

His son john was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

An overwhelming amount of New Jerseyans support increased gun control.

A new Quinnipiac University poll shows 96 percent want background checks for all gun buyers.

The poll also finds that New Jerseyans don't think more guns will lead to a safer state.

"63-percent say it would be less safe with more people having guns," said pollster Mickey Carroll.

On the flip side...34 percent of those polled think it's too difficult to purchase a gun in New Jersey.

A few weeks ago we were telling you how all schools in jersey are now required to test for lead in their drinking water supplies.

You might not be aware of it but water companies across the Garden State are doing the same type of testing year round.
