A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Monmouth County through tonight with at least a couples of inches of rain expected across the entire shore today, according to meteorologist Dan Zarrow.

An 11-year old girl from Newark who was visiting some friends in Toms River has passed away from electrocution in an accident on Saturday night in the waterfront lagoon section also known as Shelter Cove.
The young girl and her two friends had been swimming and using an inflatable raft in the lagoon behind the home at the time but were wearing life-jackets and were under adult supervision.
Two of the girls touched a rail to a metal boat lift and electrical currents sent shocks into the swimming equipment causing electrocution, according to early police reports.
The accident remains under investigation.
Many seem opposed to it, others like it and maybe to others it doesn’t make sense but although Governor Chris Christie’s plan to dedicate 30-years of Lottery Revenues to the pensions would be a plan to help boost the financial landscape of the retirement funds, unions representing public workers have some concerns.
One of them being treatment by the state government in the past where they’ve been burned.
