A video in which a school bus apparently is seen speeding along, and rumbling over a set of railroad tracks without stopping, has the attention of police in Lakewood and Howell. A driver recorded the moving images near the border of the two towns.

The ninth, and final, former executive in the Birdsall Engineering corruption case pleads guilty to misconduct for illegal political contributions. Alan Halla of Florida plans to seek a suspended sentence, citing health problems. He has a September 1 sentencing date. Several other members of the defunct Eatontown firm have already completed terms handed down since April 2016.
