The superintendent of one of New Jersey's largest school districts is under investigation, accused of repeatedly sexually harassing a guidance counselor.

Toms River superintendent David Healy allegedly made sexually suggestive comments to the woman, with a particular focus on her legs.

The woman's lawyer vows a lawsuit unless prompt and effective remedial action is taken by the school board.

The public may never know exactly how or why 11-year old Abbiegail Smith was murdered.

The judge in the case has taken the extra-ordinary step of sealing virtually all information around the case, worried if you knew the details, it could prejudice you against Abbie's accused killer.

This is all about securing a fair trial for 18-year-old Andreas Erazo.

If a grand jury decides not to indict, and details were released, it would harm Erazo's character and reputation.

A new report by national security organization SafeWise ranks Middletown, New Jersey as the 9th best place in the country to raise a child.

It’s the second year in a row they’ve finished in the top 10 out of 30 ranked and Mayor Gerry Scharfenberger credits the police force as a reason why, with the crime rate down for the seventh consecutive year.

“They’re very visible, they know the town very well, they know all the trouble spots and a lot of the players in town which is all very helpful,” said Scharfenberger. “They (police force) take care of the neighborhoods, they alert us to any possible problem spots or anything going on that we should know about.”

He says quick action to address a crime issue is a big help which he says sends a message to criminals their behavior won't be tolerated.
