Three people are arrested in Lakewood Saturday night after four were shot at the Frank Bartolf Sports Complex on Brook Road.

Three Lakewood residents and an Englishtown man were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

Jahquan Fenn and Sanaya Smuoone of Lakewood and Donaysha peace of Waretown all face charges for their alleged roles.

It's unclear what led to the shooting and anyone with information is asked to call police.

It's not exactly shocking news. As more and more people become addicted to prescription painkillers, a new study by the agency for healthcare research and quality finds opioid-related emergency room visits have doubled over the past decade.

Do you know all those signs up hanging along the wall or fence at parks and other venues in Toms River? Well, they’ll be more after township officials announce a new advertising deal.

Web Alliance International Agency, located in the office building next to the Men’s Wearhouse on Hooper Avenue, was awarded the contract to be the exclusive advertising vendor for Toms River.

“It was a request for proposal,” said Tom Forgione, Marketing Director for Web Alliance. “They (Toms River Township) put it out to bid and we bid on it and got the job.”

He says a percentage of the income on sales from the advertising will go to the township.

“They’ll receive a 20-percent cut on top of the gross and we pay all of our people and do the rest,” said Forgione.
