Kenneth Burrell, 40, of Egg Harbor Township, risks 25 years to life if convicted of a first-degree charge of leading a narcotics trafficking network, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner.

Brian Foster, 19; Leonard D. Allen, 26; Scott Dorn, 18; and Tyshon Nieves, 25, all of Egg Harbor City, are charged with third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, as is Joshua Sims, 18, of Augusta, Georgia.

Burrell, Dorn, Sims, Allen and Nieves face multiple counts related to firearms possession.

Sixteen suspects were arrested in March 2017, after a five-month probe that involved the FBI, U.S Homeland Security, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, New Jesey State Police, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit, and police from Egg Harbor City, Egg Harbor Township Pleasantville, Galloway, Mullica Township and Atlantic City.

Five court-approved searches in and around Egg Harbor City on March 30 resulted in the confiscation of handguns, rifles, shotguns, and automatic weapons, along with ammunition, high-capacity magazines, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl, authorities said.

Infromation related to this investigation can be given to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Major Crimes Unit, 609-909-7666.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
