4th of July Traffic is in Full Force in Ocean County

It looks like the weather yesterday may have made 4th of July weekend visitors adjust their plans a little bit. The traffic that we'd usually expect the night before, this time around on Thursday, was rolling down the Parkway in full force this afternoon.

Now, when I was coming down the Parkway around 2pm there wasn't a huge backup, but there were definitely pockets of heavy volume like you see in the picture above (between the Toms River toll and exit 82).

Of course there are a few ways to deal with the traffic that always comes with holidays like this weekend - use an alternate route (but don't tell too many people or your secret way won't be much of a secret for very long), or bring along a bit of patience.
