Authorities said that the victim was seriously injured in the incident on July 2, at about 10:52 PM, at Cedar Bridge and Hurley Avenues. The SUV drove off in the eastbound driection on Cedar Bridge Avenue (County Route 528).

The video shows the SUV entering the gas station, pulling alongside the pump island, then abruptly leaving.

Based on surveillance images, detectives believe that a man, possibly black, was behind the wheel of the blue Ford Explorer, which they estimate to be within model years 2002 - 2006. They said that no debris was left at the spot of impact.
