It's Homecoming season.  You're probably getting invitations on e-mail and regular mail with details of events at your alma mater.  Do you ever go?  I've attended a few times.  It can be enjoyable, especially when people you know are there.

It's also apparently a big time for high school reunions.  What I'm noticing is that some people are excited to be invited; and others dread going.

Among the comments I hear when talking to friends about their upcoming reunions:

If I didn't like my classmates then, why would I want to hang out with them now?

I've reconnected with everyone on Facebook so I don't need to see them in person.

My spouse would be bored so I don't want to subject him/her to the reunion.

On the flip side, reunions are a great opportunity to catch up with old friends.  To share a laugh or a memory in person can be a lot more memorable than just sending an emoji online.  There's the possibility of business networking as well.  And if the venue has a DJ, there's a lot of fun to be had dancing to the songs that were popular when we were teens.

Do you like to attend your high school reunions and college homecoming celebrations?  When you go, do you bring your spouse?
