Luis Quintana, 37, of Berkeley's Holiday City section, was charged with five counts related to possession of heroin, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He was released after meeting the requirements of $50,000 bail.

Quintana was behind the wheel of a rented car on January 20 when Special Enforcement Team detectives, involved in a month-long drug probe, brought the car to a stop near Route 37 at Brookside Drive, police said.

Quintana's alleged stash amounted to 2,155 individual doses, police said. He is also accused of having 36 grams of cocaine, a digital scale and $1,665 in cash.

Kevin Reilly, 40, allegedly had 21 wax folds of heroin and a no-bail arrest warrant issued by the county Sheriff's Department, police said. Reilly was detained in regard to the warrant.
