A pedestrian injured in Lakewood Sunday night was the fourth person to be struck by a vehicle over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend at the Jersey Shore.

Two other pedestrians were killed in separate accidents in Brick Township and Long Branch, and a pedestrian hit by a car in Toms River was seriously injured, according to police.

In Sunday's incident, police said a man was struck and injured by a vehicle at the intersection of High Street and River Avenue around 9:30 p.m., according to The Lakewood Scoop. The driver remained on the scene.

On Friday, 37-year-old Shaun Nichols of Toms River was seriously injured by a vehicle on Route 37 in the Township around 9:45 p.m., according to police. The driver, 27-year-old Jesus Hernandez of Seaside Heights was charged with driving on a revoked license.

Also on Friday, a man was struck and killed by a car on Ocean Boulevard in Long Branch shortly before 10 p.m., according to police. The driver stopped after the crash.

On Thanksgiving night, a Brick Township man was killed while crossing Chambersbridge Road near Brick Boulevard shortly after 8:30 p.m, according to authorities. No charges have been filed against the 75-year-old driver from Toms River, police said.
