Helping Make College Affordable

For the fifth consecutive year, the OceanFirst Foundation has generously donated $50,000 to Ocean County College for scholarship support.  As students continue to face financial challenges, scholarships remain one of our greatest priorities.  We are so grateful for the OceanFirst Foundation’s support, stated Heather S. Barberi, Executive Director of the OCC Foundation.

Scholarship recipients are graduates of high schools in the Ocean First Bank service areas of Ocean and Monmouth Counties with grade point averages of 3.0 or higher.  Students must also have entered college as full-time freshmen in the fall semester.

Over the years, the OCC Foundation has received over $900,000 in support from the Ocean First Foundation including donations to the scholarship program, the annual Scholarship Celebration, among other programs.
