There are plenty of signs of spring that we're starting to see around Ocean County. One of my favorites is the sound of spring. I've always called them "Spring Peepers" - the chirping that you hear around wooded areas as the seasons change and it finally starts to warm up.

But what are spring peepers?

They're small tree frogs that are quite often heard, but rarely seen due to their small size. To me, hearing the spring peepers is a sure sign that spring is finally here.
