3 things all of us have experienced in a Wawa

Let me first start off by saying that this is not a bash on Wawa and that I love Wawa very much. Wawa has been a destination for hungry people at the Jersey Shore for a long time, others have tried to duplicate (i’m looking at you QuickChek). With that being said, each and every one of us has experienced one of these three things while at a Wawa, and if you haven’t, then you are not there as often as normal Jersey Shore residents.

The music is WAY too loud: Look, I am not complaining at all. The music that they play in Wawa is my favorite. It’s a mixture of the 70s and 80s, with a hint of 90s in there sometimes. I find that when I trek late night to my local Wawa, the music is always super loud.

Register confusion: Again, not a complaint, but sometimes it’s really funny. Wawa (or at least my local Wawa) has a weird register set up. It’s almost like a circle, so when one line gets too long, they open up another register and it’s ALWAYS a disaster. The crew member says “I’m open” and everyone rushes from the line to the register to just create another BIG LINE.

YOU MUST HOLD THE DOORS: I guess I am old school, but I hold the door no matter where I go. The only time someone holds the door for me is at a Wawa. No joke, the next time you go to a Wawa someone is going to hold the door for you. It’s almost like everyone is so happy to be at Wawa that they just have to hold the door for everyone else.
