Two men were injured when their pleasure boat ran aground in a Little Egg Harbor waterway this weekend.

State police say 56-year old Neil Mason of Absecon suffered a severe head laceration and was hospitalized after Saturday’s accident. The other man — whose name was not disclosed — was treated for a foot injury.

The two men and another person were aboard the Feeding Frenzy, a 29-foot-long, Shamrock-model fishing boat, when it went aground in the Marshelder Channel in Little Egg Harbor. Authorities say the boat’s operator was heading north in the channel when he ran into the shore around 2 p.m.

The impact caused the three occupants to fall inside the boat. But the third person — whose name wasn’t disclosed — escaped injury.
