2 people sitting in a car were killed and 3 injured in a violent shooting in Camden.

The driver, 18 year old Jewel Manire and 20 year old Khalil Gibson of Camden were killed Saturday night  sitting in a Chevrolet Lumina parked on Hull Road in Fairview when a masked man walked up to the car, got in the driver's side of the car and fired repeatedly according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

A 16 year old female was critically injured by a shot to the head, an unidentified  20 year old female from Camden was shot in the face and a 16 year old female from Camden was shot in the arm & shoulder. She was able to get out of the car and call 911.

The shooter pushed Manrie out of the car and drove the car to a dirt road off the 2500 block of Morgan Boulevard. The 20 year old victim jumped from the car and ran; the shooter went after her but did not catch her. He was last seen running towards basketball courts near Morgan Boulevard.

The shooter is described as Hispanic, standing about six feet tall wearing a black mask over the lower part of his face wearing yellow latex gloves and carrying a machete. It's not known if the shooter knew the victims.

The two deaths bring to 50 the number of homicides in Camden in 2012.
