Manchester Police say a car clipped the back of a State Department of Transportation plow truck on Route 70 in Manchester as it passed several vehicles following the plow.

Scott Hakim, 47 of Oakhurst and 19 year old passenger  Delynne Coddington, of Asbury Park  were driving west on Route 70 near Hill Top Road when witnesses say Hakim passed several vehicles following the plow.

As the plow made a left turn Hakim struck the truck's rear corner, causing extensive damage to his vehicle. Hakim and Coddington were taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River and are in stable condition.

The driver of the plow. Deale Carey, 42 of Jackson, was not hurt. The crash closed one lane Route 70 for about 30 minutes during clean up.
