1 Dead In Brick Crash

One person is dead and another is in the hospital following a head on motor vehicle collision on Route 88 in Brick on Tuesday morning.

51 year old Earl Sprague was pronounced dead at Ocean Medical Center after his minivan collided with the pickup of 46 year old David Griggs. The accident occured near Burnt Bridge Road this morning, temporarily diverting traffic.

Police say Sprague's Toyota Sienna crossed over the center roadway lines into the eastbound lane of travel approximately 100 feet east of Burnt Bridge Avenue where the two vehicles collided head on. Griggs suffered a broken left arm and facial lacerations in the incident.
