Friday's early morning left in it's wake evacuations, flooding, and thousands of outages throughout the area.

JCP&L crews are already working on repairs, the utility's outage map shows almost eleven thousand outages in Monmouth County and almost three thousand outages in Ocean County. Representatives from the utility say all the damage is storm related and crews will be working all day and possibly into the night to make repairs.

Toms RIver Police say there is flooding in the Silverton section of Toms River, with water as high as five feet in parts of Green Island, Bay Boulevard, and Ortley Beach. No emergency rescues have been attempted but fire and OEM crews have been put on stand by in the Township.

The flooding has caused numerous delays throughout the area and closed down Alabama Avenue in Silverton as well as the intersection of Water St and Iron St.
