10 Arrested In Drug Raid In Seaside Park
A mother of two children is among 10 people arrested in a drug raid by Ocean County authorities in Seaside Park. Thursday night’s raid on a rental property at 1914 Northeast Central Avenue followed a three-month investigation by Seaside Park Police, the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and the Seaside Heights Police Department, according to the Asbury Park Press. Authorities recovered heroin, crack, cocaine, marijuana, Oxycontin and drug paraphernalia.
Police say the suspects had gang ties, including the alleged ring-leader, 42 year old Josephine Garris, who lived at the home. Her children, both under 9 years old, were turned over to the state Department of Child Protection and Permanency. She was being held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River on $150,000 bail.
