HAMILTON TOWNSHIP (Atlantic) — Police are still looking for a black pickup truck involved with Monday's shootings in the Egg Harbor Township area that left 1 person dead and 4 injured.

New Jersey State Police said the shooting incident that started on the Atlantic City Expressway was not a random act. Monday, New Jersey State Police Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams, said the incidents appeared to involve several people "firing at each other from three different vehicles."

"We believe at this point that the people involved in this shooting knew each other. This was not a random act. We don't have a mass shooter on the loose who is targeting at random based on the information we have this point," State Police spokesman Stephen Jones said at a press conference on Monday night.

Police are still searching for a black Dodge Ram pickup truck with temporary Pennsylvania license plates.

"If this in fact was a moving situation where gunfire was being aimed at cars that were moving, (it was) obviously extremely dangerous to everyone involved, not just the intended targets," Jones said.

CBS Philly reported a man was charged on Monday night with making a false report about the shooting after being dropped off at the Hospital University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

State Police said a bullet-riddled white Ford Expedition pulled into the parking lot of the Wawa on Tilton Road near the Atlantic City Expressway on Monday afternoon with four men inside all with gunshot wounds around 3 p.m.

"The driver said he was shot. The passenger was hanging from the window. ... He said everybody was shot at least a couple times," witness Erwin Ashworth told NBC 10.

Video from the scene showed a rear tire blown out as police checked it over.

A car was found pulled over on the shoulder of the northbound Garden State Parkway just north of the Atlantic City Expressway with a dead passenger inside, according to police. The investigation into that scene closed off a lane creating multi-mile delays into Monday night.

Weapons connected to the two shooting scenes were found at a third location, authorities have said. A large amount of cash was among the items found inside the SUV according to 6 ABC.
